AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU) — State Patrol officials have confirmed that a six-year-old child was killed after being hit by a school bus in Wood County.
The accident happened near the intersection of County Road Y and North Road on Monday. No further information is being released, and officials are continuing to reconstruct the crash.
Family members will not be releasing the child’s name, and are asking for privacy at this time.
No criminal charges are expected. The Wood County Sheriff called the incident a “horrible tragedy.”
