ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU) – The water park at Cedar Creek is closing indefinitely.
The Grand Lodge Hotel announced Friday morning that their water park, Logger’s Landing, is shutting down “due to continued hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic and recent staffing challenges unlike any we have seen.” A written announcement also says, “we’re closing the waterpark portion of the Grand Lodge Hotel for the safety of our guests and team.”
Water Parks across Wisconsin were impacted by state and locally-ordered shutdowns because of COVID -19. Those facilities that were allowed to re-open suffered from lower bookings and capacity limitations.
The hotel itself will also close from March 22 through April 5th to “regroup and reorganize.” The water park will remain closed when the hotel reopens as the Select Service Hotel and Conference Center.
Existing reservations through April 5th are canceled. Guests who are impacted by the closure should contact glfrontdesk@stoneycreekhotels.com. They’ll be redirected to other hotels that are open. Reservations for after April 5 can be made at 800-659-2220.
