MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Lincoln County man got more than he bargained for last week when he appeared at the courthouse for a criminal traffic matter.
Sheriff’s officials say the unidentified man appeared on Friday. During the appearance, it was revealed that he was also wanted for failing to pay some outstanding fines.
An arresting officer then noticed the odor of alcohol on his breath. A subsequent breath test then revealed his BAC was .33.
On top of the outstanding tickets and other matters, he now faces a charge of violating the terms of his bond for a 6th OWI offense.
Further court action against the man is pending.
