MARYVALE, AZ (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers are adding third baseman Travis Shaw to their 40-man roster.
The 30-year-old signed a minor-league contract with Milwaukee last month. Shaw could have requested his release if the Brewers did not add him this week. The move assures that he will start the season with the team.
He spent last season with the Blue Jays after playing three years with the Brewers. Shaw slugged 31 homers for Milwaukee in 2017 and followed that up with 32 in 2018.
