MARYVALE, AZ (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers scored seven runs in the 8th inning to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-3 on Friday.
Billy McKinney hit two homers and drove in four runs for Milwaukee as he tries to win a bench job on the roster. Kolton Wong also homered.
Adrian Houser gave up 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings but the bullpen put up zeros for the rest of the game. Phil Bickford, Justin Topa, Josh Hader, JP Feyereisen, Brent Suter and Angel Perdomo pitched 5/2/3 innings of scoreless ball giving up no hits. Feyereisen, the UWSP grad and River Falls native has yet to be scored on this spring.
The Brewers face the Reds this afternoon.
