
Wisconsin Badgers
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WSAU) — One day after the Badger women claimed the 2021 Women’s College Hockey National Championship, the Badger men have received skating orders in their tournament.
Wisconsin was given the first seed in the Bridgeport, CT regional and will meet #4 Bemidji State (MN) in the opening round on Friday, March 26th at 1 PM. The 2-versus-3 matchup in the region will have UMass taking on Lake Superior State of Michigan.
Winners will meet in the region championship game on Saturday, March 27th at 4 PM.
Coverage of all Wisconsin games will begin on WSAU a half-hour before faceoff.
North Dakota’s Fighting Hawks are the top overall seed in the tournament and will play their regional in Fargo, ND. Michigan, American International (MA), and Minnesota-Duluth will also play in that region.
The winner of the Bridgeport Region will then play the winner of the Fargo Region in the Frozen Four.
Other Big Ten schools that made the tournament include Minnesota (#1 in the Loveland, CO regional; vs Nebraska-Omaha) and Notre Dame (#4 seed in the Albany, NY regional; vs Boston College.)
The Loveland and Albany Region champions will then be paired in the other Frozen Four semifinal matchup.
The 2021 Frozen Four will be held on April 8th and 10th at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
