WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — An early Sunday shooting incident in Wausau has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old on homicide charges.
Officers were called to a home on N 9th Avenue where they found a 30-year-old female deceased as the result of a gunshot wound. They were able to arrest Umberto N Lo at the scene and transport him to the Marathon County jail.
Charges of first-degree homicide and bail jumping are being recommended for Lo. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
The victim in the incident has not been identified. Officers did say Lo and the victim were known to each other.
No further information is being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
