MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin men’s hockey team enters the NCAA Tournament today as the #1 seed and will face Bemidji State. The pre-game show begins at 11:30 am on WSAU.
The Wisconsin are preparing to hire Marisa Moseley as their new women’s basketball coach. She has been the head coach at Boston University for the last three seasons. Before that she was an assistant for nine seasons at UConn and at Minnesota for two. She replaces Jonathan Tsipis who was let go after this past season.
Wisconsin men’s basketball player Trevor Anderson will play an extra season but not at Wisconsin. The Stevens Point native has entered the NCAA transfer protocol as a graduate transfer. He played in 29 of 31 games this season averaging 3.1 points per game.
Wisconsin football coach Paul Chryst announced earlier this week that he has hired Gary Brown to be running backs coach. Brown comes from the NFL where he coached running backs at Cleveland and Dallas. He replaces John Settle who left to take a job at Kentucky. The Badgers begin spring practice on Tuesday.
