BRIDGEPORT, CONN (WSAU) — The Wisconsin men’s hockey team was dumped from the NCAA Tournament with a 6-3 loss to Bemidji State on Friday afternoon.
The fell behind 4-1 heading into the 3rd period and the deficit quickly grew to 5-1 early in the 3rd. Badgers pulled to within two goals but the Beavers notched an empty netter for the final tally.
Cole Caufield scored two goals and added an assist. Linus Weissbach had the other goal.
The Badgers end the season with their best record since 2013-14 at 20-10-1.
