MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Three Wausau residents were arrested in Lincoln County last week on drug-related charges.
It started with a 38-year-old who was already being booked into jail on a warrant charge. While searching her property officers discovered a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana and prescription drugs that were prescribed to someone else.
That woman will now face additional drug-related charges in addition to the original, unspecified warrant.
Then on Sunday, a 27-year-old man was discovered to have drugs as he was being arrested for a probation violation. A K-9 officer alerted its handlers to the presence of drugs, and a search turned up multiple items including some related to IV drug use.
Also on Sunday, a 40-year-old woman was found to have a baggie of meth and a syringe on her as she was being arrested for other charges. She’s also facing charges for violating the terms of her probation.
Names of those involved in all three incidents were not released.
