UPDATE: The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office says that Jayme Tyler Dietz, 29, has “returned home.”
In a Facebook post they say he’s “doing great” and thank everyone who helped in trying to locate him.
The missing man with autism walked away from his home on Wednesday.

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Sheriff’s officials in Marathon County are asking for the public’s help to locate 29-year-old Jayme Dietz.
Dietz, who is autistic, was reported missing from his home in Hatley Wednesday afternoon. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, red and black tennis shoes, and a gray jacket. He was carrying a green duffel bag and blue backpack.
Dietz often goes by the name Tyler. Officers say he is not carrying a cell phone.
There was a possible sighting of him near Little Wolf Road in the Town of Franzen, located between Bevent and Galloway.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department at 715-261-1200.
