TOWN OF CORNING, WI (WSAU) — A Friday afternoon crash in Lincoln County left one person dead.
It happened around 1:45 pm Friday on Hwy 64 near Farmingdale Rd where investigators say a pickup truck traveling eastbound crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle heading westbound. The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 35-year-old Merrill woman was killed in the crash. A 6-year-old passenger was treated and released at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 20-year-old man from Colby, was transported to Wausau Aspirus Hospital by helicopter. His condition is not known at this time.
The name of the victim is not being released until relatives have been notified.
