MINOCQUA, WI (WSAU) — Another walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic is coming to Central Wisconsin.
Oneida County Health Officials have announced that they will be offering 200 doses of the single-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua on April 24th from 10 AM until 2 PM, or until the vaccine supply is exhausted.
No appointment or pre-registration will be required to get the shots. Those who want to take advantage should just report to Lakeland Union High off Highway 70 at 10 AM. Parking lot attendants will be on hand to begin the registration process.
Face coverings will be required for everyone in attendance. Officials also encourage those getting the vaccine to plan for between 15-30 minutes of observation time following their shot to make sure there are no adverse side effects.
The clinic is a partnership between the Oneida County Health Department, Marshfield Clinic, and Ascension Wisconsin.
It’s the second walk-in, single-shot vaccine clinic to be announced this week. On Wednesday officials with UWSP announced they are partnering with Marshfield Clinic to distribute 1,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine on Saturday.
As of Monday all Wisconsin residents age 16 and above are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of pre-existing medical conditions or occupation.
