MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Merrill man has entered pleas for child pornography charges.
James Ridolfi, 40, was in Lincoln County Circut Court Friday afternoon for an arraignment hearing. At the hearing, Ridolfi pleaded not guilty to three charges including child sexual exploitation through video recordings and possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, Ridolfi of Merrill was approached by special investigators from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice on November 19th following reports that he sent files of child pornography from his email address and cell phone number. During the investigation, Ridolfi allegedly confessed to the production of compromising videos and pictures of prepubescent children, whom he claimed were the children of his friends.
Ridolfi will return to court on June 10th for a status conference. He is currently being held on a $250,000 cash bond.
