WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — While the state of Wisconsin has not yet issued a formal pause for the distribution of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, some counties have instructed distributors to hit the pause button.
This includes Adams County which has called off two clinics that were going to issue the ‘one-and-done’ vaccine on April 14th and 15th. Those who had appointments on those dates will be contacted by health officials to reschedule.
Health officials in Iron County have canceled a Johnson and Johnson vaccine clinic on April 14th as well.
Both counties are still issuing the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, which have not been impacted by the recent suggestion by FDA and CDC officials that all states hold off on issuing the vaccine.
Numerous states have now paused the distribution of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Additionally, the vaccine’s rollout in Europe is being delayed.
