PORTAGE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Medford man is dead after a motorcycle crash near Portage Thursday night.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said the wreck happened around 8:30pm on I39 near Portage in Columbia County. They haven’t identified the man, but did say he was 45-years-old.
Witnesses reported seeing the two motorcycles, traveling with each other, making contact with each other while on a curve. They then went into a ditch.
First responders started CPR on one of the people as soon as they arrived, but that person eventually died. The other person was treated for minor injuries and released.
The crash under investigation.
