LA CROSSE, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team swept a doubleheader at La Crosse on Saturday with 8-3 and 12-9 wins.
Aaron Simmons set a school record with his 13th career triple. He also had a grand slam and had six RBIs in Game 2.
Bradley Comer had five hits on the day including a home run in each game. Payton Nelson also had five hits on the day.
The Pointers, now 16-3, 11-1 in conference, host Whitewater for a DH on Tuesday at 1pm.
The UWSP softball team split a DH at La Crosse, winning game one 14-6 and dropping the nightcap 5-3.
Sammy Buerger hit two home runs in game one and had five hits on the day. Maddie Candre had two hits in each game and Lauren Luedtke had five hits on the day and scored four times in game two.
Makenna Tkach picked up her 10th win of the season in Game one.
The Pointers, now 15-8, 2-2 in Conf, will host Whitewater on Tuesday.
