MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks used a 40 point first quarter to build a lead and held off the Philadelphia 76ers 124-117 on Thursday night at Fiserv Forum.
Milwaukee made its first ten shots including five three-pointers. They led 77-60 at halftime. They finished 20-40 from three point range and 45-81 overall.
Giannis finished with 27 points, 16 rebounds and six assists. Khris Middleton had 24 and Bobby Portis had 23 off the bench. Jrue Holiday finished with 12 points and 11 assists.
Milwaukee, now 36-22, pulled within 2 1/2 games of the Eastern Conference leading 76ers and Brooklyn Nets. They host Philly again on Saturday afternoon.
