WHITEWATER, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball rallied in the 9th inning of the second game of a doubleheader and earned a split with Whitewater on Friday.
Down two runs entering the 9th, the Pointers cored five times on the way to a 9-6 win. They dropped the first game 11-1. With the split, they remain in a first place tie with the Warhawks in the WIAC.
Matt Baumann had the big hit, a bases clearing double with two outs in the 9th. He had three hits in the game.
Bradley Comer had a five hit day and Payton Nelson had three hits and three RBIs.
The two teams close out the season series with a DH today at Zimmerman Field at 1pm.
