GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers went for defense in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night. With the 29th overall pick the Packers selected cornerback Eric Stokes from the University of Georgia.
Stokes is 6’1 and 194 pounds and ran a 4.25 40 at his pro day workouts.
The Packers decided not to trade up or down in this year’s first round but it didn’t happen this time around. Green Bay has one pick in the 2nd round, the 62nd overall and one pick in the 3rd, the 92nd overall. They also have two fourth round picks, 2 fifth round picks and one pick in the 6th round.
