MADISON, WI (WSAU) — We now know the names of the five people involved in the critical incident in Weston last week.
A news release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has released the identities of those involved in the critical incident that happened in Weston on April 23rd. Those identities include the female victim, the suspect, and the three officers who discharged their weapons.

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Renee Hindes of Weston. An autopsy of Hindes body has confirmed that the manner of her death was a homicide by stabbing. The investigation also confirmed Hindes was the one who called 911 on the suspect, who then killed her.
The suspect has been identified as 43-year-old David Morris of Weston. Morris was shot by officers on the scene that morning and is currently in a local hospital in a stable condition.
Three members of the Everest Metro Police Department have been identified in the investigation of the incident. Those three officers are Gunnar Schultz with one year of experience in law enforcement, Tanner Uhlig with three years of experience in law enforcement, and Lucas Wiza who has seven weeks of experience in law enforcement.
The Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation into the officers discharging their weapons and Hindes death investigation. All investigations are still ongoing, upon completion they will be turned over to the Marathon County District Attorney.
