STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team banged out 8 home runs in a doubleheader sweep of UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at Zimmerman Field. The scores were 9-6 in both games.
Aaron Simmons had a walk-off grand slam in game 1. He had another home run in the game and six RBIs. he finished the day with four hits, three runs scored and seven RBIs.
Bradley Comer hit three home runs among his six hits, three RBIs and four runs scored.
Kyle Finger, Lucas Luedtke and Payton Nelson had the other home runs.
JD Schultz picked up the win in game one with seven strikeouts in five innings. Nick Paulsen got the tin in game 2 with three innings of scoreless relief.
The Pointers travel to UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday for a doubleheader, the start of a six game week against the Spartans.
