PHILADELPHIA, PA (WSAU) — One bad inning did in the Milwaukee Brewers as they dropped a one-run game for the 3rd straight night in Philadelphia, The final this time was 5-4.
The Phillies scored five times off Freddy Peralta in the first inning highlighted by a Didi Gregorius grand slam. That was enough. The Phillies only had one hit and no runs the rest of the way but the Brewers only managed four runs on this night.
Tyrone Taylor had a home run for Milwaukee. Avisail Garcia went 4-4 with 3RBIs and once again the Brewers had runners on base in the 8th and 9th innings but couldn’t cash them in.
Peralta went four innings giving up the five runs with eight strikeouts. Drew Rasmussen, Brent Suter and Brad Boxberger pitched four scoreless innings.
The Brewers fall to 17-14 and will play Philly again today. Pre game show at 11:30 this morning on WSAU.
