MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Sheriff’s officials in Lincoln county issued a handful of citations for excessive speed last week, including two to a Wausau man who was clocked at over 100 MPH in two days.
In their weekly press release officers say he was first stopped on Wednesday for going 100 on US 51 near State Highway 64. The 20-year-old was then stopped on Saturday for going 105 on 51 near County Road S by Tomahawk.
That man’s name was not released.
Other incidents of speeding were reported on Friday where an Illinois man was stopped for going 91 on US 51. A Tomahawk man was clocked at 98 on Saturday, while a Florida man was ticketed for doing 90 near Irma.
A Rhinelander man was also cited for driving 96 near County Road C; also on US 51.
