RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A Rhinelander woman who runs an in-home daycare has been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child.
WAOW TV reports 37-year-old Stacy Melby is facing two felony counts for having sexual relations with a teenager along with other accusations that she let children smoke and drink alcohol in the home she uses to run her business.
Other charges against her include using of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and second-degree sexual assault.
Court documents show Melby has admitted to having sexual relations with a teen. Text messages also show confirmed sexual contact with the teen and drug use.
Melby was released on a $10,000 bond and will return to court on Wednesday.
