GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers 2021 schedule is taking shape, both through formal announcements and insider leaks.
The NFL and its TV partners used morning news programs to announce the Week One slate of kickoff games, including Green Bay at New Orleans on Sunday, September 12th.
The game will be a featured game on FOX with a 3:25 kickoff.
The Packers will then reportedly play a Monday Night affair in Week Two against Detroit.
Reports also indicate that Green Bay will not feature on Thanksgiving Day but will host the Cleveland Browns on Christmas Day Saturday, December 25th.
The NFL season will open on Thursday, Sept. 9th with Dallas at Tampa Bay on NBC. The Sunday night game will feature the LA Rams hosting the Chicago Bears, also on NBC.
ESPN and ABC will broadcast a single Monday Night game to close out Week One with Las Vegas hosting Baltimore.
The NFL will play two international games in London, England featuring the Miami Dolphins against the Jacksonville Jaguars (JAX home game) and New York Jets versus Atlanta Falcons (ATL home game). There will not be a game in Mexico City this season.
The formal announcement of the 2021 NFL schedule will come this evening at 7 PM on NFL Network and other outlets including ESPN and ESPN+. In addition to the entire 17 game regular-season schedule, we’re expecting to know the three-game preseason slate by the end of today as well.
