MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks ended the home portion of their regular-season schedule with a 122-108 win over Miami Saturday.
And it wasn’t exactly the usual suspects leading the way in the contest. Bryn Forbes and Khris Middleton each scored 21 to lead the effort. Jrue Holiday added 20 points and ten assists
Brook scored 18. Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in 15 and 9.
Miami’s Kendrick Nunn scored the game-high with 31 points.
Eight Bucks players recorded at least two points in the game. Seven of those scorers finished in double figures.
Friday’s game also featured a tribute to retiring Bucks TV voice, Jim Paschke. He received a warm ovation from the fans as he took the public address microphone to announce the Bucks starting lineup before the game. Then in the second quarter, a pre-recorded message from other NBA announcers wishing him well was played.
The loss by Miami clinched the Southeast Division title for the Atlanta Hawks. Milwaukee has already wrapped up the Central Division but can still jump to the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win over Chicago on Sunday.
Depending on Sunday’s results the Heat and Bucks could matchup in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs, which would be a rematch of last year’s second-round series, won by the Heat.
