MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — For the first time this season the San Diego Padres found a way to beat the Milwaukee Brewers. An off night for Corbin Burnes and an offense that only managed two hits led to a 7-1 win for the Padres on Tuesday night at American Family Field.
Burnes only allowed two hits over six innings but he also walked three, hit a batter and had a wild pitch in what for him was out of character. The Padres also had six stolen bases in the game.
Travis Shaw hit a solo home run for the only Brewer tally.
The Brewers are back to .500 at 24-24 and face San Diego again tonight…pre game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
