STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — UWSP baseball coach Nat Richter was named WIAC Coach of The Year on Wednesday.
Richter became the second coach to win the honor in his first year at the helm. He led the Pointers to a record of 32-11, the most wins since 2015 and best winning percentage since 2011.
The Pointers also landed a number of players on the All-Conference Team. Bradley Comer, Sidney Ferry, Payton Nelson and Aaron Simmons earned first team honors. Pitchers Nick Carpenter, Zack Haupt, Casey Pickering and JD Schultz earned Honorable Mention.
