RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — A winning lottery ticket was sold in Rhinelander last month.
The Wisconsin Lottery launched its 2021 May Madness Raffle at the beginning of the month and was sold out by May 13th. The top prize $50,000 ticket for the raffle was drawn on June 1st and was sold in Rhinelander.
The ticket was sold at Trig’s Shell Market on 232 S. Courtney St. with the winning number of 26176. Trig’s Shell Market Manager Simon Martinez said of the sale, “We’re so excited for whoever bought this winning ticket. It’s great to have a big winner in our small town. Looks like we’re the lucky spot to get Lottery tickets!”
In addition to the $50,000 top prize winner, a total of 25 tickets won prizes of $1,000, while 500 others won $100 each. Winners have until November 28, 2021, to claim their prizes by mail or in person at the Lottery’s Madison or Milwaukee offices. The $100 prizes can be claimed at local retailers.
