
Aaron Hardy-Opper
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The man convicted of stabbing his husband will spend half a decade behind bars.
Aaron Hardy-Opper was convicted for stabbing his husband 11-times in February of 2020 while he was under the influence of methamphetamine. On Friday afternoon he was sentenced to 6 years in prison and four years of extended supervision for a charge of 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Hardy-Opper was also given a concurrent sentence for a charge of intimidating a victim, where he will spend two years in prison and three years on extended supervision. Hardy-Opper has already spent more than a year behind bars which will count toward his sentence.
