WESTON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Co-workers of the victim of last month’s stabbing incident in Weston will dedicate a picnic table and memorial plaque outside her former employer Saturday afternoon.
Renee Hindes worked at the Kwik Trip on Business 51 in Weston before she was stabbed to death in an altercation back in May. After the incident, her co-workers made plans for a memorial in her honor at the location. That
“We’ve always wanted a picnic table so I approached my boss and said, ‘Can we get a picnic table? I’d like to put a plaque on it in Renee’s name to commemorate what she did in life and to say we haven’t forgotten her,'” coworker Sue Purull said.

The table will be dedicated Saturday afternoon at 3:00. Employees will also be collecting donations for The Women’s Community in Wausau.
The suspect in the case, 43-year-old David Morris, is facing felony charges of first-degree intentional homicide, false imprisonment, and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. He faces a mandatory life sentence for just the homicide charge alone.
Court records show a warrant has been issued for his arrest. No further court action has been scheduled at this time.
