MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Notre Dame’s end of the home-and-home football series with Wisconsin will be played in 2026.
The two schools announced on Monday that the game, which was scheduled to be played in 2020 but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is now slated for September 5th, 2026 at Lambeau.
Ticket information and further details about the game will be announced in early 2026. The game also completes the Badgers non-conference schedule for that year, which also features Western Illinois out of the FCS- Missouri Valley Conference and the University of Pittsburgh.
The two sides are set to play at Soldier Field this year. Which, despite being played outside of Wisconsin, is the Badger’s end of the home-and-home agreement. Wisconsin will have the home locker room and the game will be televised by FOX as part of their agreement with the Big Ten Conference.
The 2026 date at Lambeau will be Notre Dame’s home game, meaning they will be responsible for lining up officials and the game will be broadcast by their TV partner, which is currently NBC.
Assuming the Big Ten scheduling format remains unchanged Wisconsin football now has their schedules locked in through 2027.
