WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A man accused of kidnapping a former girlfriend in Langlade County and taking her into Marathon County has pleaded no contest charges of false imprisonment, kidnapping, and battery.
Brian Storzer of Green Bay entered the plea to on Wednesday in Marathon County court. He’s accused of tying the woman’s wrists with duct tape and taking her cell phone; then forcing her into his truck.
Storzer then drove into the Town of Rib Mountain where she was briefly able to escape when he stopped at a stoplight. Other drivers called the incident in when they saw him force her back into the vehicle.
Marathon County Sheriff’s officers were able to stop the truck with spike strips and arrest him. The woman was taken to a local hospital to be examined, and he was jailed.
The 49-year-old will be sentenced on September 30th. A presentence investigation will be completed by late August.
