Sign for the 400 Block in Downtown Wausau
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – After Wausau canceled Independence Day fireworks at Marathon Park, a downtown concert is being announced to celebrate the holiday.
Wausau Events announced Wednesday that there will be a special 4th of July Concert on the Square on the 400 block.
“After learning the regular 4th of July Celebration at Marathon Park wouldn’t be happening, the board decided to add a special night of Concerts on the Square for the community,” said Lindsey Lewitzke, interim director of Wausau Events.
Almost Normal will be performing from 6-8 PM.
The Wednesday night downtown concerts were canceled in 2020 because of COVID concerns. They’re scheduled to re-start on June 16.
