MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks left Brooklyn last week looking like a team in trouble.
The same can now be said for the Brooklyn Nets.
Eleven first-half three-pointers helped the Bucks erase an early deficit on their way to a 107-96 win in Game Four, tying the best-of-seven series at two games each and setting up a best-of-three the rest of the way.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 34 points and 12 rebounds but he didn’t do it all by himself. Four of the Bucks’ five starters ended the game in double figures including 19 from Khris Middleton and 14 from Jrue Holiday.
Bryn Forbes scored 10 points off the bench.
Brooklyn got 28 points out of Kevin Durant and 11 from Kyrie Irving, though his points all came in the first half as he twisted an ankle and did not return to the game. Nets coach Steve Nash said X-Rays on the ankle were negative, his status for game five is unclear.
No other Nets player scored more than eight points in the contest.
A crowd of over 16,300 began chanting “Bucks in six” late in the game.
Game five of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Game time has not yet been set by the league and Turner Sports. The series will return to Milwaukee for game six on Thursday, June 17th.
