TOWN OF ROME, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A boater is missing after he went overboard Friday evening on Lake Pentenwell.
WAOW TV reports that the man was examining the motor on the boat when a wave hit the vessel and he fell over. Another passenger on the boat was unable to bring him back on board.
The passenger shut the motor off and continued to look for the man, but couldn’t find him.
Search crews spent part of Friday evening and all of Saturday looking for the man as well. They were hoping to put in another day of searching on Sunday as weather conditions allowed.
The man’s name has not been released, and no further details have been shared.
