DENVER, CO (WSAU) — A two-run homer from Willy Adames in the top of the 9th turned a 5-4 deficit into a 6-5 win for the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
The blast was one of four hits on the day for the Brewers SS who finished 4-5 with three runs scored and three RBI. Luis Urias and Daniel Robertson both finished 2-4 on the day.
Trevor Richards was credited with the win in relief as he worked around two walks to keep the Rox off the board in the 8th, setting up Adames’ 9th inning heroics and then Josh Hader’s 18th save of the season.
Hader walked one and struck out two in the 9th.
Starter Adrian Hauser didn’t factor in the decision. He allowed nine hits and five earned runs over six innings.
The same two teams will close out their four-game set today. Pregame coverage begins at 1:35 on WSAU.
