WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Wausau nursing home is looking to fill openings for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) positions, and they will pay for people’s classes to become certified.
Benedictine Living Community in Wausau held a job fair on Tuesday, looking to fill CNA and other positions.
If people are hired for the CNA openings they will be paid while they attend classes. The classes will be paid for and once they’re finished and have their licensing, they will have a job at BLC.
Wendy Schumacher, the assistant director of nursing at BLC, told WAOW-TV they’re hoping to have eight people in the class. “With the emergency orders that were put in place by the Wisconsin Department of Health we’ve been able to set up this class so we can mentor these students through the whole process.”
