MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A six-run 8th turned a 4-4 deadlock into a 10-6 win for the Brewers over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday at American Family Field.
The two clubs went back and forth for the first seven innings before an Avisail Garcia home run in the 7th tied the game at 4. Then in the 8th Milwaukee sent ten batters to the plate as they pulled ahead and then some.
The inning features a Luis Urias two-run single. He scored one batter later when Christian Yelich homered to right-center.
Willy Adames would close out the scoring with an RBI double.
Both Kolten Wong and Garcia would finish the game with three hits. Urias and Tyrone Taylor each recorded two knocks.
Once again the Brewers offense was able to pick up a rough start from the pitching staff. Adrian Hauser was roughed up in five innings- allowing five hits and four earned runs. Brent Suter was able to calm things down over the next two innings before Brad Boxberger got the call for the 8th. He worked around two walks to keep the Rockies off the board and earn the win.
Milwaukee clinches the three-game series win and will go for the sweep this afternoon. Coverage on WSAU begins at 12:35, first pitch is set for 1:05.
