PHOENIX, AZ (WSAU) — Former Marshfield and UW-Milwaukee baseball player Daulton Varsho had a big weekend for the Arizona Diamondbacks
The 24 year old catcher hit a walk-off homer in the 9th inning on Friday night and caught a no-hitter on Saturday.
Varsho, who has been hitting better the last few weeks, described the home run as “adrenaline through the roof”. He said “it was pretty cool to do it and be a part of it”.
On Saturday night Varsho was behind the plate when Tyler Gilbert threw a no-hitter in his first major league start against the Padres.
