ST. LOUIS, MO (WSAU) – The Brewers pitching was dominant again in a 2-0 shutout of the Cardinals on Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.
Corbin Burnes was locked in again going six innings allowing only 2 hits and 2 walks with three Ks. Brad Boxberger, Devin Williams and Josh Hader pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
The Brewers scored single runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings on RBIs from Kolten Wong and Omar Narvaez. Wong was 3-4 on the night. Willy Adames and Christian Yelich had two hits each.
The Brewers, now 73-47, will send Freddy Peralta to the mound tonight against the Cardinals. You can hear the game on WSAU…pre game show at 6:10.
Other Brewer notes:
Daniel Vogelbach suffered an injured foot during his rehab assignment and returns to the IL. Adrian Houser and Keston Hiura have come off the COVID19 IL. Houser is back with the major league club while Huira heads to AAA Nashville.
The Brewers also signed outfielder David Dahl who was released by Texas. Milwaukee released minor leaguer Kevin Kramer and designated pitcher Kyle Lobstein for assignment.
