WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A Wausau couple are being held on child abuse charges in the case of a five year old who is in a medically induced coma and is not expected to survive.
Jonathon and Sumitra Stulp who were the child’s adoptive parents, were in court Wednesday. WAOW-TV reports that they appeared to be the only ones caring for the child at the time of the injuries. They are being held on a $75,000 bond.
The child was taken to Marshfield Medical Center with a skull fracture, bleeding on the brain and elevated levels of alcohol and Tylenol.
Judge Lamont Jacobson ordered an investigation in the case.
