MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The Washington Nationals knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers 4-1 on Friday night at American Family Field.
Patrick Corbin was effective for Washington allowing only one run on three hits with 7 Ks in 6 1/3 innings of work.
The big blow for the Nats was a two-out, two run triple for Lane Thomas in the 4th inning. They added single runs in the 6th and 9th. Brett Anderson took the loss for Milwaukee.
The Brewers lone run came on another Avi Garcia home run, his 24th, in the 7th inning.
Milwaukee also lost Tyrone Taylor to an injured oblique and he will head to the IL.
The two teams will play an afternoon game today with the pre-game show starting at 2:35. Because of Packer football, the Brewers game will be heard on AM1390 & FM 93.9 The Game
