JANESVILLE, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — School districts across Wisconsin are struggling to hire teachers.
A 2020 Wisconsin Policy Forum report says enrollment in the Wisconsin teacher programs has dropped by more than one-third.
The assistant superintendent for the School District of Janesville says they will have teachers from one school virtually teach students at another school. He says the schools don’t anticipate the situation getting better with COVID-19 going on.
