CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) — As if next Saturday’s game between Wisconsin and Notre Dame wasn’t big enough already, things just got a little bigger.
During Saturday night’s primetime affair between Penn State and Auburn, ESPN executives announced that their popular College GameDay program will be live from the Windy City next week, in addition to the FOX Big Noon Kickoff program.
The GameDay program hits the air at 8 AM and can be seen on ESPN. FOX Big Noon Kickoff starts at 9 AM and leads right into the game at 11 AM. Both programs encourage fans to gather around the set to take in the show. That means both national pregame shows will be broadcasting live on location from Soldier Field to focus on the game between the Badgers and the Irish.
GameDay is known for its loud atmosphere and creative signs. The show ends with former coach Lee Corso making his famed “headgear” pick. Big Noon Kickoff tends to focus more on the stories from each week’s featured game.
Wisconsin enters the game with a record of 1-1 and are coming off a bye. Notre Dame is 3-0 after defeating Purdue on Saturday.
WSAU will carry Saturday’s game starting at 9 AM, with the live play-by-play to follow.
