AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU) — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the Auburndale Middle/High School was evacuated Thursday after a bomb threat.
A student found a note in a bathroom stall that read “I have a bomb,” and reported it to school leaders, who turned the information over to the Sheriff’s office.
The school was cleared out at around 11 AM and officers were able to make contact with the student who made the threat. They ultimately determined that there was no explosive device on the school grounds, and classes resumed shortly after 12:00 PM.
The incident remains under investigation and officers say they won’t be releasing the student’s name due to their age.
