MADISON, WI (WSAU) — For a 40th consecutive drawing, nobody hit all five numbers and the Powerball in the multi-state lottery game.
Winning numbers from Saturday night were 28, 38, 42, 47, 52, with a Powerball of 1. With no winners, the jackpot for Monday’s drawing is expected to be $670 million, with a cash-out option of just over $474 million.
There were two winners of the $50,000 third prize in Saturday’s drawing, which goes to those who hit four of the five white balls and the Powerball. Over 80 tickets sold matched either four white balls or three white balls and the Powerball- both of those are worth $100.
Lottery officials increased the jackpot by about $15 million in the day leading up to Saturday’s drawing due to an increase in ticket sales as word got out that the prize was reaching record territories.
The Monday Powerball drawing was added in early September in addition to the Wednesday and Saturday drawings.
