WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Wausau man is charged with second-degree sexual assault
Jacob Notto, 20, was in court Wednesday, where he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. He’s being held in the Marathon County Jail on a $50,000 signature bond, with the first $25,000 paid in cash.
According to the criminal complaint: On October 4, a woman went to Notto’s house because he had some of her possessions. When she got there, he forced her into his bedroom. She told him she wanted to leave, but he pinned her down, using his arm across her neck and making it hard for her to breathe.
The report also said Notto followed the woman around, showing up at places she was in an attempt to give her things, including a house key.
In addition to the sexual assault charge Notto also is facing charges of strangulation and suffocation, and false imprisonment.
If convicted Notto faces up to 40 years in prison.
