MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Another injury strikes the Brewer bullpen.
On the eve of their playoff series with the Atlanta Braves, Brewers set-up man Brent Suter is out.
The team says he has a right oblique strain. The injury was disclosed when the Brewers released their roster for the National League Divisional Series.
It’s unclear how severe Suter’s injury is, or when he might return.
The bullpen is already missing set-up man Devin Williams. He broke his throwing hand after punching a wall while drunk on the night the Brewers won the NL Central title. He will likely be out for the entire postseason.
The Brewers open their series against the Braves on Friday afternoon. They’re scheduled for day games in Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday. Games 3 and 4 are in Atlanta. If necessary a decisive 5th game would be played in Milwaukee next Thursday.
The winner of the series will take on either the Giants or Dodgers.
